PLOCHOCKI FAMILY HISTORY
A lot of information about Plochocki family you can find in libraries. By the sources Plochocki is old (16 th century) Mazowian family. It comes from Plochocin near Warsaw. During 16 th century Pawel from Plochocin, Stanislaw from Plochocin (public prosecutor in City Court in Warsaw) and Mikolaj from Plochocin lived there. They inherited Plochocin, Pogroszewo and Plochocka Wola (countryside near Plochocin). Many of the family members were writers in courts, hunters, warrant officers and governors. In 16 th century only family members mantioned above lived all together in Plochocin near Warsaw. On the map of Poland you can also find another Plochocin near Grudziadz and Warlub, but no one from Plochocki family have evere lived there. It was an estate of Theutonic Order but in opinion of one of the archeologist it could have been founded by Plochocki. Perhaps one of the Plochocki's sons had an argument with his father an had to ran away from his family nest and his new home (far away from the old one) named Plochocin in memory of his parents villige. The hypothesis of the common beginning of that two villages was published because the archeologists had found that the roots of both of them had dated back to Acient Time. And the box graves has been founde there with very similar stuff burried in them. Very interesting thing is that in the church in Plochocin near Warlub we can find the painting of Holly Marry Plochocki Mercifull. In 19th century it was famous because of its wonders, as 19 people recovered from different diseases. Today you can find the painting behind the courtain in St. Wawrzyniec Church. There is an inscription on it: DOMINA MEA SANCTA MATER (Holly Mothrer you are my Misstres). You can see the painting on a picture below:
The idea about conections of Plochocin near Grudziadz and Warlub with Plochocki family will be still investigated. Anyway we can notice that all of the Plochocki have got common ancestors: Pawel, Stanislaw and Mikolaj from Plochocin. Now we can move to 16 th century and go to Plochocin. Imagine the welcome of the three middle aged men, about 170 cm each in fornt of their wooden manor. They are dressed in clothes Polish nobleman, probably like on a picture below:
But before Pawel, Stanislaw and Mikolaj from Plochocin was somebody who we can call our forefather. His name was Osorya Knight. He lived long ago, in miedieval ages. He had 6 sons. They had many virtues they were very brave (as they took part in battles for their fatherland), with good opinion and strong faith (they fight against pagans), they protected their home, loved their father very much and cared about consolidation of the family. During the battle one of the brothers was killed. The six brothers were like six spokes in the wooden wheel, when one of them was killed, they put the cross instead of one spoke. In this way the Plochocki's coat of arm Osorya was made. In the story quoted above we can find suggestions for people born with Osorya coat of arm among others Plohocki. That sugestions are: patriotism, faith, family consolidation, love for parents and be like the knights with courage and faithfullness, at last nobilis means noble. For families which using Osorya coat of arm belongs: Brochocki, Tyrawski, Sczaniecki, Konarski, Bukowski. Stanislaw Konarski in one of his books wrote that it is possible that all of them used to be connected. Similar situation might be with the people using the same surname. For egzample one of the Osorya's sons moved to Brochocin so people started to call him Brochocki. The second son might have moved to Plochocin so they called him Plochocki, the third one settlend in Bukowo so was named Bukowski. In the same way all of them recived different surenames. Plochocki Family was becoming bigger and bigger so their family nest was very crowded. The brothers got married and gave rise to the new lines of the Plochocki Family which were looking for new places to live. That's why we can find the Family living at the seaside, near Vistula, in the mountains or even abroad. Every line moved out from Plochocin in different times: Mikolaj Plochocki moved near Sandomierz in 17 th century (in 1669 he was an elector from Sandomierz province, married to Maryanna Komodzinska in 1692). Maybe you are from this line? Karol Plochocki in 18 th century lived in Luck in Wolyn in 1744 burgrabia, 1764 warrant officer and vice governor in Luck. In 1703 his father Mateusz Plochocki had been to Wolyn. Maybe you are from this line? Some members of the Plochocki Family moved to Belarus exactly like quite big number of Mazovian Nobelmen. In 1837 they were in Book of Nobelmen of Minsk Province. Maybe you are from this line? Some members of the Plochocki Family moved to Ukraina. In 1845 they were in BOOk of Nobelmen of Kijow Province. Maybe you from this line? Some members of the Plochocki Family stayed near Plochocin. I know that in 1710 Felicjan Plochocki was a Hunter and Court Writer for Warsaw Province (county: Blonie, Warsaw and Tarczyn). Maybe you are from this line? Antoni Plochocki moved near Nur to the other side of Vistula river. His son Wladyslaw was a Writer of Nur County. Maybe you are from this line? Some members of the Plochocki Family (not very big number) moved near Plock. To this line belongs: my greatgreatgrandfather Antoni, my greatgrandfather Aleksander, my grandfather Jan and my father Wladyslaw. Maybe you are from this line too? One of the family lines steyed in Plochocin. In think they moved out about 1800. That was Sebastian's line. He was married to Teofila Koziebrodzka in 1570. Marcin, their son haritaged Plochocin in 1602. His older son Sebastyan was married to Elizabeth Osiecka. In 1632 Plochocki Famyly signed so called Warsaw's Election. Sebastyan had a son Mateusz, who inherited Dzidziczki and Lipiny. Mateusz's son Antoni was probably an owner of so called Jasniepanstwa Plochocki House, which was connected to the Royal Castle in Warsaw as House Number 1. That was first Mall in Warsaw, consisting of four houses. That was very beautifull and people from Europe were selling there. That house stayed crosswise to the Castle Place and was destroyed in 1818. You can see it on a picture below:
At 123 Piekarska Street stayed Mrs Plochocka House. Actually we can see it even today on that place. Mateusz and Antoni had also palace in Wola Rasztowska; you can see it on a picture below:
Below you can see a picture from Plochocin:
There is palace of the last owner of a villige Janasz, which was built on a foundation of old wooden Plochocki's house Every member of Plochocki Family should visit this place like Scarlet O'Hara used to visit Tara, when she wanted to regain willpower. That is the most important place for Plochocki Family. To be contined.
